We are looking for: Sales Associates,

                                        Cashiers

                                        General Labour

 

full and part-time, capable of unloading trucks, stocking, creating attractive visual displays to promote product, actively complete and organize orders and paperwork for deliveries, plant and garden centre maintenance and assisting customers loading their vehicles properly once you've assisted them in solving their garden related challenges. Other duties as required ie. watering, inventory, weeding, dead-heading, pruning...

No previous experience is necessary, but sales experience, horticultural, plant or landscape design knowledge and or education are definite assets.

Continuous learning is expected as well as physical ability (walking, standing, bending, squatting, and lifting will be a regular part of your day).

As the season progresses, the job may vary.

​

Sales Associates and Cashiers: Ability to operate POS cash system         accurately, answer telephone professionally, organize orders, create beautiful displays and sales. 

Grounds Keeper/Labour, Operations positions: focus on unloading trucks, positioning of heavier plant material, fountains and statuary, string trimming and mowing. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

All positions: 3-6 days/wk; 5-8 hr. shifts available; part-time (15-30  hrs./wk) and full-time (40+ hrs/wk).

We are open 7 days a week in the spring and 6 days a week in summer and fall, including statutory holidays.

​

Must have: ability to get to Farmgate Gardens; pleasant professional attitude; strong work ethic; attention to details is important; good listening skills; work well independently and in a team and a high level of customer service skills.

We do train for retail success.

Steel-toed safety work boots and appropriate outdoor clothing required.

​
